| First, the obvious question; "Why should I buy this book when there are dozens in print on the same subject?" Second, question; "Why should I put more stock in this author than others espousing the same message?" This book is different from all the others because it deals with the hard-earned lessons learned in over 50 years competing in the business world. The only theory in this book is that which I've proven where the rubber meets the road. If I tried a theory and it didn't work, it's not in this book. This book does not try to teach you things that you should already have learned in school. The more you have stored in your gray matter, the farther up the ladder you can start. But no matter, this book is a valuable guide regardless where you start and how much is hard-wired in your brain. For example, I will divulge the basic principals of improving your competitive skills without your going to college, business school, or even high school. Just start with the first chapter and work your way through. If you do, you will get ahead! It worked for me and for dozens of others who followed my lead. Now, to deal with the second question...... I retired from IBM after thirty years, 25 years in management, where I created and facilitated hundreds of executive, management and employee development seminars. I searched the world (no kidding) for presenters with the expertise I wanted to convey to the participants, and those with the credentials for communicating these skills. It cost the company tens of thousands of dollars to hire these experts, but it proved to be worth every penny. I also recruited and hired people at all levels in both IBM and numerous other companies for which I worked in a consulting capacity after retirement; in places such as South Africa, China, Hong Kong (when a British colony), South Korea and the Czech Republic. My career started near the bottom of ladder. I competed without a college diploma (though I earned one later along with an MBA) and advanced to middle management, doubling my salary five times along the way. Remember, success for many is not where you end, but how far you've come. Because of my track record, I was employed in the graduate school of business at Webber International University a few years after retirement. The university conferred an honorary Doctor of Business Administration for my work there. That's why you should buy my book. I've proved that the contents work. |
